Granite Bay Craftsman, Renovation – Interior Design by Georgia George Design
This home is in a beautiful well established upscale community with mature landscaping. The home was a tired 1970’s home with T1-11 siding. The exterior had low overhangs that made for a dark interior and the overall appearance was lifeless and dull. This home had a muted drive-up appeal and 70’s era front elevation. We were able to update the look with a completely new roof line, siding, windows, trim and rock veneer. The curb appeal of this home along with the open beam work in the entry now draws you in. The interior was also quite dated and the living area in the home was too small. 1,057 s.f. was added and 635 s.f. was remodeled to create a more user-friendly home. The additional space coupled with modern updates changed the entire use of the home. The mixture of gray and tan colors along with boxed beams and stunning stonework bring a warm and contemporary look to this space. This was a wonderful transformation and the clients are very excited with their “new” old home. The Craftsman/California Ranch Style is perfect to last a lifetime.
